Cabins on the River

About the Country Place

The Country Place is situated in the heart of Oregon’s natural vacation land, 50 miles east of Eugene via Highway 126. The Country Place is set in seven acres of woods, with three cabins and a house arrayed along the South bank of the McKenzie river. The McKenzie is a famous trout stream, and is famous for fly fishing from McKenzie River boats as well as whitewater rafting and the beauty of its water.

Lodging at the Country Place consists of the three cabins Salmon, Steelhead, and Rainbow, and the Country House, which is a two story Dutch Colonial house with a full kitchen, two living rooms, three bedrooms, and a bunkroom.

Each of the three cabins has a living room with fireplace and sliding glass doors from the living room and bed room opening to a deck overlooking the river. The cabins each have a bathroom and a bedroom. The cabins Steelhead and Rainbow have kitchenettes, while Salmon has a full modern kitchen and washer and dryer.

The House and all the cabins have cable television and Wifi internet service.

The Owners

We rented at the Country Place nearly every year for about 30 years. Now we want to offer to others the experience that kept us coming back.
